Artist Bio

After graduating with a Violin Performance degree from Oklahoma City University, Andrea served a decade of performances for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Lawton Philharmonic orchestras.
During that time, she had the privilege of performing with world-renowned classics and pops artists.
Televised performances included PBS's Austin City Limits episode "Sagebrush Symphony" with Michael Martin Murphey, and the internationally televised memorial service for the Oklahoma City bombing.

When Andrea delved into the world of electric violins, she joined Joe Baxter, an Oklahoma songwriter, as a member of the band, The Regular Joes; a hard-working red-dirt rock and blues band, where the highlight, she says, was the band opening for the legendary Leon Russell.

More recently, Andrea joined The Mother Earth String Band & Choir, led by singer/songwriter Marilyn McCulloch. The band plays music about and promotes peace, the Earth, love, and coming together for change.

Whether playing in her bands, or for others, she remains an active regional musician. Her classical training, her sideman skills and her killer improvisation have provided her many opportunities to sit in with some extraordinary musicians and flex her violin talents.
